Note on the battery: Sony only lists the NP‑FM500H; according to Sony, the NP‑FM55H, NP‑FM50 and NP‑FM30 cannot be used.
Shots per battery charge: approx. 880 (CIPA)
Charging in the camera: No – the battery is charged in the supplied charger BC‑VM10; Sony does not mention charging in the camera
Power via USB: No – mains operation only with the AC adapter/charger AC‑VQ900AM (not supplied) at the DC IN terminal; connect it while the camera is switched off
Memory cards: Slot 1: CompactFlash (Type I/II) or Microdrive
Slot 2: Memory Stick Duo (alternatively, switched in the menu)
Weight: body only approx. 850 g (without battery, memory card and accessories)

Measurement conditions according to Sony: CIPA standard, 25 °C, fully charged battery, quality ‘Fine’, focus mode AF-A, one shot every 30 seconds, switched off and on again after every ten shots.
