Battery planner

How many batteries do you need?

Set how much you shoot or film in a day – the planner works with the figures from Sony for the Alpha 77 II.

Photos per day 800 Allow for a reserve – one extra batteryAccording to Sony, battery life is shorter at low ambient temperatures, with frequent use of the flash, continuous shooting, frequent switching on and off, a brighter monitor setting, when the ‘Remote Ctrl’ setting is left on (power saving mode then does not work), and as the battery ages.

Guide value

2battery charges

Battery in the camera + 1 spare battery – for example, the single battery.

A guide value, not a guarantee: based on approx. 410 shots using the viewfinder per battery charge (CIPA figure from Sony for the Alpha 77 II, a standardised comparison test) or approx. 110 minutes of video (CIPA, actual recording with image quality 60i 17M (FH)). According to Sony, the actual runtime depends on the conditions of use; we have not measured these figures with Baxxtar batteries.
