Battery: EN‑EL25 (7.6 V)
Note on the battery: Nikon also names the EN‑EL25a for the camera (from camera firmware C: 1.10 onwards) – according to Nikon, this gives approx. 360 shots and approx. 85 minutes of video per charge. Depending on the package, the EN‑EL25 or the EN‑EL25a is supplied.
Shots per battery charge: approx. 330 using the monitor (CIPA)
Video per battery charge: approx. 75 min using the monitor (CIPA, actual recording)
Charging in the camera: Yes – with the camera switched off via USB‑C: with the AC adapter EH‑8P (only with the separately available USB cable UC‑E25, not with the supplied cable), the charging AC adapter EH‑7P, a USB PD power adapter of at least 15 W (5 V/3 A), a power bank or from a computer (supplied USB cable)
Power via USB: Yes – via USB‑C with the EH‑8P (with UC‑E25), EH‑7P, a computer or a power bank if ‘USB power delivery’ is enabled (default setting); a battery must be inserted, and it is not charged – from a computer with the supplied cable, it is still drained in the process
Memory cards: One slot: SD (UHS‑I)
Weight: approx. 405 g with EN‑EL25 battery and memory card, without body cap (body only approx. 350 g)

Measurement conditions according to Nikon: CIPA standard, 23 °C (±2 °C), fully charged EN-EL25, NIKKOR Z DX 16–50 mm 1:3.5–6.3 VR lens, SanDisk SDSDXVE-032G-JNJIP SD card; photos: one photo every 30 seconds at default settings; video: actual recording time according to CIPA.

Charging and power via USB: information from Nikon on the camera – we have not tested whether it also charges replacement batteries in the camera.
